If you are anything like me (not saying that you should be) you spend a lot of time on the web looking for good new techs that will make your ilife that much better… well one of these things is Fluid (LINK) It is an application for Mac OS X which allows you to type in any Web site and have it open as a separate application on your Mac instead of in a browser, the possibilities are endless but just to give you an example, I use Google Voice with my iPhone (I love Google!) and now I have a separate app that is in my dock and has a badge (like Mail) that shows how many unheard voicemails I have, it is integrated with Growl (which if you don’t have you need LINK) and so when I am left a message, I can easily access it on my mac without having to open Firefox, go to the Web site, log in etc etc etc. here are a couple of links to get you started and give you some ideas of how to use the app:
Also if you are a Gmail user and don’t like Mail or Entourage this might make you feel warm and fuzzy inside:
Internet Jogging
Good Luck and if you have other uses for Fluid I would love to hear them!
